History: | Named in 1875 by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), for the fishing schooner Scotland which reported the rock in 1871. No evidence of this rock was found sounding and wire drag, according to 1954 Coast Pilot 9 (p. 308), thus its location is uncertain. |
