| History: | "Name reported in 1898 by J. E. Spurr and W. S. Post, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), who obtained it from Reverend A. Petelin. Spurr also reported it as ""Ikkhagamut."" Savonoski was abandoned after the Katmai area eruptions on June 2-6, 1912." |
