History: | "A post office of this name was established here in 1948. In 1950 the name was changed to ""Barge,"" and in 1952 the Hood Bay Post Office was reestablished. The post office was finally discontinued in 1957 (Ricks, 1965, p. 27). The population was 50 in 1929, but in 1966 it was reported to have been abandoned." |
