Description: 1 mi. W of Kuskokwim Bay, 10 mi. SW of Eek I. and 57 mi. SW of Bethel, Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
History: Former Eskimo camp or village reported by J. E. Spurr and W. S. Post, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), based on information received in 1898 from J. H. Kilbuck, Moravian missionary, who spelled it "Papkamut," i.e. "Papka people." This appears to be the same name as "Popokamiut."
