| History: | "Local name reported in 1961 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Crillon. At that time, Crillon Glacier was much more extensive and joined La Perouse Glacier near ""the latter's"" terminus. Since 1874 the Crillon Glacier has retreated, uncovering the valley now occupied by Crillon Lake. The glacier has dwindled to become ""smaller"" two glaciers; the one on the N, terminating in Crillon Inlet, is called North Crillon Glacier." |
