History: | Named by miners for Peter Bulger, who had mining claims on the hill. In 1881, Bulger came to Juneau from Sitka and claimed two lots in the early settlement. He located mining claims in association with Pat McGlinchy and John Olds in Silver Bow Basin. He died in Wrangell in 1897 (DeArmond, 1957, p. 9). |
