History: | Named by Maxine Williams for her husband, Valta F. Williams (1907-1962), who guided many hunters in this area and who organized the first Guides Association of Southeast Alaska. He lived in Alaska for almost 30 years and was an outdoordman, hunter, fisherman, and guide. |
