History: Named in 1905 for Edward A Rasmuson (1882-1949), teacher at the government school at Yakutat and missionary of the SwedishEvangelical Mission Covenant of America. (US-T121) It was called Rasmussen Glacier by RS Tarr and Lawrence Martin (1914, p165). (AK-T1)
