The generic ""peninsula"" was given by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1883. This feature was named for the Russian, G. Lindenberg (complete name not available), who explored and surveyed in the Alexander Archipelago in 1838." |
