Aleut names applied to this island include "Tachkinach," by Lieutenant G. A. Sarichev, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), and "Taghinak," "Tikhiniak," and "Takh-kiniakh" by Captain Lutke, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).|
