Ensign Vasilief called the largest island of the group ""Pribilie,"" meaning ""profitable,"" in 1833. W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), reported the name of the group as ""Pribieli"" and the island name as ""Pribilie"" in 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 155)." |
