Cook (1785, p. 404), Royal Navy (RN), reported ""* * *This promontory, * * *was named, after the day, Cape Whitsunday. A large bay (Izhut Bay), which lies to the West of it, obtained the name of Whitsunday Bay * * *"". See Kekur Island." |
