Named ""M(ys) Yelovoy"" by Murashev in 1839 or 1840 and published in 1849 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1425. Baker (1906, p. 594) published ""Spruce Cape,"" the translation of Murashev's name. Because of duplication and its appropriate descriptive qualities, the present name was given by USC&G S in 1909." |
