Maddren, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), reported the name as ""Knowat River"" (in Brooks and others, 1911, pl. 11), and 1912 H. M. Eakin, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), reported the spelling ""Nowat"" (in Brooks and others, 1913, pl. 10). The present-day local name ""Jungjuk Creek"" was reported in 1944 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)." |
