| History: | Named for Benjamin Bullard (1848-1933), a mining engineer who came to the Klondike from California in 1897 and later moved to Juneau. In 1907 he began mining on Nugget Creek where he later built a hydroelectric powerplant (DeArmond, 1957, p. 9-10). |
